Mendip Autumn Festival

At Ebborways Farm, Pelting Drove, Priddy, Somerset, BA5 3BA
The Association Festival Committee are pleased to announce the 2nd Mendip Autumn Festival at Ebborways Farm on the outskirts of Priddy. This year the Festival will be much larger, and unlike last year, open to the public. The line up of artists performing is impressive, with both artists from the local area and our special guest: internationally-known Edwina Hayes. She will be performing in concert on the Main Stage Saturday PM with some of her best material.

The cost of this wonderful weekend is very good value and includes all of the events listed, with no hidden extras.
This event will be an open door to anyone wishing to get involved in the folk world, and open for any artist to join the Association. Security will be in force throughout the weekend, as will general help.
This Mendip Autumn Festival is now set to gain popularity as it is run by the artists, who know what is required to make it a great event. Come along, you will not be disappointed.

Artists Performing at the Festival
Edwina Hayes
Edwina is a well known English singer/songwriter. Her version of Feels Like Home was featured in the major motion picture, My Sisters Keeper. Edwina is often invited to support other major artists on tour and over the last few years she has performed with Van Morrison, Nanci, Griffith, Jools Holland, Eric Bogle, Ruby Turner, Loudon Wainwright, and Lulu amongst others.
In March 2003, Edwina signed up as a writer with Warner Chappel. Her influences have included Mindy Smith, Ray Charles, Carol King, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin and Bob Dylan. Michael Parkinson stated that she was a very talented young lady.
See and hear her at the Saturday Evening Concert. You will be entertained.
Thornbridge
Three wonderful voices complemented by violin and cello.
Nicola Clark
Nicola is a very talented singer, musician and songwriter, as well as a very talented portrait artist.
Alhambra
What can you say, truly great entertainment together with a novel act which will leave you rolling in the aisles. Peter and John sing old time vaudeville. The third member of the group, Andy, recites humorous monologues.
Vela
Jonathan and Becky. A treat to hear this duo perform with Becky on flute, accompanied by Jonathan on guitar.
Terry 'H'
An accomplished performer with a rich voice and guitar.
Robin Gray
A very gregarious and entertaining guy with an absolute mountain of talent.
Snab and Anita
This duo is highly talented, well known, and respected in the folk world. Historically they have written many song and tune innovations which are most loved. Besides this, they've been running many folk events over the years.
Pat Smith and Ned Clamp
Pat, a concertina and fantastic spoon player, along with Ned, on guitar, vocals and harmonica, performing in their unique style.
The One Step Ahead Band
The band includes a very talented crew, who are: Chris, Celia, John, and Don, who are backed up by Phil and Wayne. All the band members have been associated with folk for many years, playing with other bands and folk clubs, playing and singing a huge variety of folk and ceilidh music.
O'Carolan's Fans
Ian and Norma. This duo specialises in the music of Turlough O'Carolan, playing violin, harp, whistles and harmonica.
Celia
A pleasant gentle voice lends itself to traditional folk songs and laments, together with concertina and ukulele.
Alan Kennett
They say that the Hammered Dulcimer was the first piano. Alan professionally demonstrates the instrument's tuneful qualities.
Grahame Upham
Performs classic folk, morris and Jimmy Shand for your enjoyment.
Wayne Hiscox
Wayne's powerful and rich voice gives credence to the many and varied folk songs, in his own inimitable way.
Dr Turbevilles Morris
Will be performing over the weekend.
Other artists will also be in action over the weekend at various times, coupled with jam sessions and spot entertainment.
